In 2009 I relocated my studio to the Künstlerhaus Dortmund. From there you can see the roof structure of the former Union-Brewery its roof being crowned since the 60s with a four-sided U. For decades it was a wasteland area. In the context of the European Capital of Culture 2010 new life moved into the old building from the 1920s. The listed former fermenting- and warehouse of the Dortmund Union-Brewery becomes the „Dortmund U – Centre for Art and Creativity“. Now the freshly gilded U acts as a conspicuous landmark once again.
